Taking to her Instagram, Irish singer-songwriter CMAT (a stage name comprising of her initials) announced that this week her new album 'Crazymad, For Me', featuring a King Ed-written track, has reached the no.1 spot in the Official Irish Albums Chart.
Pop/country ballad 'Stay For Something' was written by Fast Friends talent King Ed, and was released by CMAT prior to the album as part of an EP in September of this year. The song attracted attention for its introspective lyrics and 'wild' music video, with popular music magazines such as NME discussing their thoughts on the track. With the lyrics exploring exceptionally relatable feelings of regret, it's no surprise that it made the final track list of her now no.1 sophomore album.
