Rocco kicks off a new era with ‘A Comedy Romantic (Act. 1)’ EP

Rocco releases his EP "A Comedy Romantic (Act. 1)" today, the arrival of the world he has spent his recent run of singles building toward. Inspired by the romantic comedies of the '90s and 2000s, it marks a bold new era for the Filipino-American singer-songwriter — a self-contained universe of somber slow jams and upbeat heart-stoppers, rolled out alongside an episodic short-form video series across his socials that puts his acting front and centre.

At the heart of the EP is "Isn't You," its emotional anchor.

Isn't You is one of those special tracks that I can't help but picture a movie scene play out in my head every listen. The emotional anchor of my project, powered by a huge chorus that feels like a train swooshing by at night. It's about how someone has left such an impression, the thought of them has become an involuntary action, like a breath or your heart beating.
