grentperez shares ‘satellite’
grentperez continues the rollout of his forthcoming EP "g00se" with "satellite," the project's fourth song. Built on groovy percussion and warm horns, it's a love song about two people circling one another no matter the distance between them — like two satellites floating in the sky.
Written by grentperez with Julia Church and James Wong — who also produced under his Gladius alias — "satellite" is a song the Western Sydney singer-songwriter first started around five years ago that has now found its home among the love songs of "g00se." Out now via Fast Friends, with the EP to follow on 14 August via Fast Friends.
"satellite is a song of wonder and dreams, to be engrossed in the company of another person, as if the world could melt away and you wouldn't even mind. I wrote this song during a pretty stressful time when a lot was changing, and life felt like it was starting to move really fast. I really love the key change in the middle. This song feels like a big ol hug." — grentperez
