Today marks the release of vaulboy's long-awaited, 12-track debut album "everything and nothing", alongside a music video for the latest track taken from the album "take the hit". Since taking to Instagram back in March to announce the May release of "everything and nothing", fans' anticipation for the album drop has only grown exponentially. This comes as no surprise seeing as vaultboy stated that 'people have been asking me about an album since I started making vaultboy music in 2020', indicating just how significant and important to him and the fans this album release really is.

The album itself discusses themes of light and dark, heartbreak and the complexities of relationships, with vaultboy perfectly depicting the beautiful yet often difficult journey of the human experience through his lyrics and seamless writing. Ahead of "everything and nothing"s release, 5 singles (including pop love song brilliance "closer (feat. salem ilese)" and the poetic "you're my moon") have dropped to provide fans with a glimpse of what to expect from the emotion-packed album.

Alongside the album release today, vaultboy's YouTube channel has posted the music video to a 6th single taken from the album, "take the hit". The song looks at issues such as anxiety and uncertainty, especially around times of decision-making, but despite all this, boasts an uptempo chorus in which he talks of trusting yourself and counting on your own abilities in the face of adversity. The empowering track appears timely, as it's release comes ahead of the start of his world tour set to kick off next week in London.

Talking about "take the hit", vaultboy says:

This song is my anthem. It’s about the idea that when life knocks you down, you have to keep going. I hope this song reminds people how resilient they are, and can help them keep getting back up, no matter how many punches life throws.
