Tutara Peak teams up with Nattica for track "I was an extra in my own movie and I haven't been the same since"

Nattica from indie-rock band 'Fickle Friends' has joined Tutara Peak for his latest release "I was an extra in my own movie and I haven't been the same since". The duo blend a multitude of genres throughout the piece, resulting in an entirely unique sound that is akin to indie-pop-electronic.

Peak's ever high production in his music is reflected in this masterpiece once again, with his intricate guitar work sitting comfortably alongside the drum and synth samples sprinkled through the track. Nattica on the other hand makes an impressive juxtaposition in the lyrics of the song, opening with words like 'What’s going on / Who’s in the driving seat?' before moving to 'I’m not lost / Just searching for good in a bad day / And I keep holding on / When I can’t stop my overthinking' in the chorus. The words seemingly highlight the stresses of everyday life and how it's important to find peace in the busyness, acting as a reminder for a lot of us. Both Peak and Nattica's additions to the song have ultimately made for a mesmerising final product, and one that should not be missed this summer.

Tutara Peak shares his thoughts on the track:

“This song has a few meanings, the meaning I take from it is highlighting that there are things in your life you don’t have control over that you probably should, but in the end it’s just about finding peace within a bad situation. I tried to explore this concept further with the artwork and song title too. It's one of the first songs I’ve worked on lyrically and working with Nat helped bring this concept out in such a stylistic but descriptive way that I couldn’t have done on my own. Her voice and writing style has made the song flourish in so many ways.”
