The collaboration between producer Maths Time Joy and singer-songwriter Flores continues, with yet another amazing track that premiered on Apple Music One by Ebro Darden on his “Discovered on Apple Music” Feature and that landed covers on SoundCloud playlists "Chill Soul and R&B: Unwind" and "Latin R&B: Mi Alma".
In a great interview featured on mitú, Flores shares:
“American Dirt” is the way I believe the system forces me to feel. You realize that no administration ever has time for us — Mexicans and South Americans — to reform stringent immigration policies rooted in racism and eugenics. I want to challenge notions of freedom and what that means in a system that subjugates BIPOC.
