On Thursday of this week, the Australian Recording Industry Association announced this years set of nominees for their annual award show celebrating and showcasing the Australian Music industry - the ARIAs. Making a feature in the list alongside names such as Kylie Minogue and Troye Sivan is none other than Fast Friends' very own grentperez with his nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist award. Previous winners of the highly-acclaimed title include names such as Iggy Azalea, Lime Cordiale and Budjerah, just to name a few.
The award was renamed after the late founder of independent record label Mushroom Records - the largest independent record label ever in Australian music history. Gudinski was stated to have an 'irreplaceable contribution to signing, developing and championing Australian artists and music both locally and internationally'.
The ARIAs will take place on the 15th November in Sydney.
