grentperez shares ‘after all’

grentperez returns with "after all," a tender, guitar-driven indie-pop ballad and the latest single tied to his 2026 EP "g00se." Written from the perspective of someone left behind when a lover heads off to see the world, it's classic grentperez — sweet melody, quiet ache.

The track is co-written by grentperez with Nick Lee and James Wong, and produced by Gladius (James Wong) and Nick Lee, who also plays trombone, keys and drums.

"After All is a song of sarcasm and stubborn optimism, written based on a friend's breakup story and a disagreement of my own. The story plays out the aftermath of a breakup, that feeling of purgatory lost in limbo; unable to move while, on the other hand, you're watching that someone you once loved go and explore the world and themselves. And it pains you. So you respond by reluctantly focusing on yourself and paying no mind to anything they do, because you're fine after all." — grentperez

The single continues a monthly run building towards the "g00se" EP, following "boy that's loving you" and "sailing." Out now via Fast Friends.
