grentperez has teamed up with UMI on ‘close to you’, a new single out now via Fast Friends. Written by grentperez, Umi and MarcLo, and produced by MarcLo and grentperez. The song arrives with an official music video starring fans who submitted their own footage to be part of it.

Close To You is a song written on the idea of love being more than just a feeling (which it is), but moreso the concept that ‘love transcends beyond human perception’, it’s an energy, it’s in the air, it controls our state of being. I’ve been diving more into my psyche, the reasons why i make the decisions that I do, or why I feel a certain way because of something, and love is such a strong factor in my life. Either way, while i’ve been in this state of mind, it was perfect that I crossed paths with Umi, which in my observation Umi is so in tune with this spirituality.

The track was mixed by Fast Friends mixing engineer Andrew Wuepper, with vocal production by VRON and mastering by VIVID DID IT. grentperez celebrated release week with a ‘Close To You’ karaoke night for fans in Los Angeles on 8 October. Out now via Fast Friends and AWAL on all platforms.
